The latter teaches that man, the creature, estranged and enslaved in sin, is distinct from God, the creator, but he through faith can be reconciled to God by the death of Christ on the cross. This study examines the role of the churches as an important part of downtown Washington DC experienced the trauma of urban renewal.  Initially, the church's response was dominated by institutional concerns of building and maintaining itself.  Slowly, patterns of community involvement and mission evolved. Although the project's original purpose was not to convince that Dionysius was the initial Athenian bishop, convert of Paul (Acts 17:34), it emerged from the actual writings and early attestations that no other chronology was as consistent. There is strong possibility that his given Christian name during the Arcanum period was Theophilus (viz his writings). His mentor, John the Evangelist, he called 'Theologus' or 'Hierotheus'.  (Ignatius was called 'Theophorus', etc).
