It is applied to the setting of the North American Chinese church; therefore the approach is sensitive to the cultural and social factors involved. The product was tested and evaluated by a small group of competent counselors and pastors in the project phase.  It was revised using the group input.  The result is a training manual that first outlines the overall principles in counseling Chinese. A strong family ministry in the Chinese churches eventually will draw more Chinese families to the Christian faith.  In support of this ministry the project addresses differences between Chinese and American cultures and the felt needs of various age groups among the immigrants.  Data is drawn from surveys and personal observations.
