Twelve volunteers from the 2 Airport Drive Seventh-day Adventist participated in a fleeing-simulation through which they spent two to four days in the North Maine Woods living totally off the grid. Collected data including completed pre-and-past simulation questionnaires, written reports, and an audio-visual documentary made by participants and then shared with the whole congregation. To accomplish this purpose, the questionnaires were used with a select group of thirty people.  This questionnaire was distributed before a worship service during Advent.  Through the worship experience, sermon, and group discussions, all aspects of these liturgical seasons were covered.  The preacher covered the historical and theological meaning of the seasons in the group discussions. It chronicles the writer's five-year history of writing such materials, proposes series of weekly themes based on a study of the pericopes appointed for the Sundays in Advent, and offers guidelines for those who would write such materials. The author carried out the project in the worship of Downtown Christian Church during the Sundays of Advent creating a liturgical form of worship related to advent themes, using also banners, paraments, and a preacher's robe.
