The T.P.M. was a 24-week intervention program divided into 6-week modules. Each module was used to nurture the physical, psychological, and spiritual development of African American males, at the University Community Christian Church, located at 2171 Avondale Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46218. The Linear Analytic Model included: role play, group discussion, lectures, direct observation, prayer, and scripture. New Beginnings is a new paradigm for ministry with Black youth. It is a non-traditional church organized around three primary aspects related to Black youth: language, life issues, and liturgy. The church intentionally speaks the language of Black youth, deals honestly with their life issues (poverty, addictions, sexuality), all within the context of a youth-centered liturgy.
