This project provided a comprehensive study for parents and their middle and high school children to strengthen the foundation of biblical truths in their lives.\r\n\r\nI studied the field of Christian apologetics and sought feedback from college students in Spartanburg, South Carolina that helped focus the project. I surveyed these students to narrow down this project to five key apologetic topics. Experts in the field of apologetics evaluated the content using evaluation rubrics throughout the project to ensure that the project content excellence. Trustworthy pastors at First Baptist Spartanburg followed along closely to certify I completed each step.\r\n\r\nThe goal of the project was to equip parents and children with tools to aid in \r\nstrengthening their faith and apologetic understanding so that they become immovable and confident warriors for the kingdom. This project required me to draft five sets of families with children in middle and high school at First Baptist  Spartanburg for approximately five training sessions of no more than ninety minutes each. The project model chosen for this task was the preaching skills enhancement model. The project began with research: first in apologetics preaching and then in Christian apologetics. Once  research was complete, I used the information gathered to develop a sermon series addressing selected apologetics topics for the Calvary Baptist Church congregation and then delivered the sermons to the congregation. I gathered congregational and professional feedback on the sermons after the series was delivered. As the project director, I used the equipping model to complete this project. To determine the best path for the project, I began by researching the field of apologetics to identify essential apologetic skills. Due to the rapidly changing nature of student ministry and the challenges of teaching students, I also researched how to develop engaging, interactive seminars to teach skills. Once I completed the research, I wrote a curriculum to equip selected students from my church. The project director will begin by researching the field of apologetics and create an annotated bibliography from resources researched to aid in the design and delivery of apologetic sermons. He also will create a report identifying theological doctrines related to evil and suffering that will serve as essential components necessary to increase understanding of evil and suffering. The project director then will develop a series of apologetic sermons incorporating the essential components identified. He will base each sermon on apologetic principles and will incorporate a specific component deemed necessary for the increasing of congregational understanding of evil and suffering. The project director will preach the series of apologetic sermons at Eastwood Baptist Church. The outcome was to equip believers to confidently share the reality, reliance, and relevance of Jesus Christ in their sphere of influence in the evolving pluralistic landscape of Barrie, Ontario, Canada. First, this dissertation demonstrates God's preparatory activity in general revelation. The first voyagers to Hawaii had a general knowledge of a supreme being. Second, this dissertation demonstrates God's use of historical events to present special revelation to the Hawaiians through the missionaries of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Finally, this dissertation demonstrates the application of research findings toward the writer's present ministry at Puna Baptist Church. These research findings will revitalize Puna Baptist Church's evangelistic strategy. The new evangelistic strategy will utilize the historical fact that the first Hawaiian voyagers had a general knowledge of a later monotheistic supreme being, and this evangelistic strategy will reveal that the religious system was imposed upon the Hawaiians by a foreign entity. This group consisted of associate ministers, deacons, trustees, Minister of Education, Sunday school teachers, and youth directors. The project consisted of three phases. First, the project director researched the teachings of the prosperity gospel in order to equip the selected leaders to give a biblical response. Secondly, the director developed training curriculum from an annotated bibliography that was evaluated by Dr. Page Brooks, Assistant Professor of Theology and Islamic studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS).
