The project director assembled and analyzed the demographic data from Hazlehurst, Mississippi, and First Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, Mississippi. The project director explored methods of assimilating young families in order to inform the assimilation-strategy team. The project director with the assimilation-strategy team developed a strategy that included three key areas of connectivity and recommendations in each area for First Baptist Church to assimilate young families. Facing the adaptation of the North American culture, these immigrates have to try hard to change their traditions in coping with the new ways of living. In the meantime, churches play an important role to help these immigrant families facing different challenges and needs which they have to encounter and resolve in this multi-cultural society.
