Church growth is a product of the cooperative endeavor of a pastor and laymen.  For this project the pastors' Church Study Committee and the laymen's local Church Growth Committee were organized.  Seminars were held and questionnaires were prepared to identify church growth factors and their effect in the local churches.  The pastors' committee evaluated the questionnaires. The results were shared with the Church Growth Committee in each local church. Research included the reading of relevant books, the administration of a questionnaire and interviews and the use of inventive  instruments. Trainings given to the laity and their reflections and opinions helped actualize the project.  Consultations and studies with the professional pastors played a vital role in the work.  The project removed many of the doubts of the laity regarding their roles in their churches.  It also moved the pastors to accommodate their laity in church ministry. The library staff made a library holdings list.  They collected information from local media sources and put this in a media list for faculty use.  The library bought, borrowed and produced media for faculty and made long range buying plans.  A workshop was held to train faculty in the coordination of audio-visual media with curriculum and in the hands-on use of equipment. Faculty members said the project met their audio-visual media needs. The project examined theological presuppositions, descriptions of each enrichment program, evaluations of the results of each program, and many of the sources for marriage enrichment.  The theological presuppositions came out of the examination of selected scriptures, and how Baptists have hisorically interpreted those in their statements of faith.  The evaluation compared the scores of a pre-session and post-session 'marital communication inventory'.  These scores indicated areas of improvement in communication.
