An effort was made to avoid asking the questions in ways that would lead to the development of a sending agency that did not fit the context of Honduran Baptist mission efforts.  If Honduran Baptists are to fulfill the Great Commission in a global manner, they must have a sending agency that reflects their culture and values instead of one that is copied from another culture.  The pastors were chosen because of their experience in missions or because they had demonstrated a strong interest in learning as much. The result was a sending agency that was designed by and for Honduran Baptists. Traditionally, the church recognizes and accepts the gifts of shouting, singing, and preaching but a major part of the congregation draws the line of acceptance with other gifts, such as prophecy or speaking in tongues, that have begun to manifest during services. The project required research, writing, and developing an eight-hour interactive seminar for six local churches of varied denominations as well as personnel from the Northwest Baptist Convention. Personal participation in missions has been missing in many traditional South Carolina Baptist churches. There is a need to shift to a new paradigm of doing missions.  A growing number of South Carolina Baptist churches have implemented a partnership strategy--resulting in greater involvement among the congregation.  The methodology used in this field research was a case study involving six churches.  These churches had little missions involvement until adopting the partnership strategy. Semi-structured interviews were conducted and the results reveal a burgeoning vocational imagination with participants displaying a personal relationship with God, a growing engagement of participation in God's purpose for the world, a willingness to engage actively in vocational discernment, an ability to connect understandings of self with life commitments of vocation, and a passion to meet the needs of others.
