The study expressed the truth that God is intensely and intimately interested in humanity. Control and experimental groups were selected and pretested.  The experimental group completed a spiritual gifts questionnaire, were given ministry opportunities, and both groups were posttested after twelve weeks.  Assimilation did occur in the areas of belonging, social interaction and positive perceptions about the church. Conflict is redemptive and constructive to one's faith journey.  A semiotic analysis discovered which words participants found meaningful when thinking about conflict.  Additionally, a pretest/posttest conflict survey instrument, a pretest/posttest structured interview, six sermon evaluation forms, project evaluation forms and participant profile instruments were used. Research methodology involved the proposal of a theological and psychosocial rationale for evangelism among senior adults. An evangelistic program entitled the ISAAC plan (Inviting Senior Adults to Accept Christ) was established. Two tests were administered to the seminar group. The Intrinsic/Extrinsic scale designed by Gordon Allport was given to measure religious orientation.  A test designed by Howard Garfinkel was administered to measure the increase in differentiation of self from one's family of origin. The vehicles employed to accomplish this task were a sermon series and an eight-week small group study.  The working hypothesis was that a more informed congregation should result in an attitude of greater acceptance of divorced persons in the congregation and in leadership roles.  The implementation of the project produced statistical data supporting the positive effectiveness of the project.
