Three main studies were included:  first, a study of the size and location of churches having produced Conservative Baptist foreign missionaries; second, a survey of Conservative Baptist churches to determine the number of missionaries and other Christian workers produced by those churches; third, a six-part program to promote missionary interest in rural churches.  The program was tested in five churches. Using a survey of missiological literature, an examination of the christological background and three models of the incarnation developed from Johannine, Pauline and Matthean literature, a concept of incarnational mission is formed and applied to Australia as described in its historical, social and religious setting. Demonstrating the interrelationship between effective contextual mission, Christ-centered worship, and koinonia/body life, he developed a project that sought to enhance all three functions.  By means of the ministry of the Word, the 'Balligo Church Advance', and the systems models approach to pastoral leadership, the pastor and church became effectively involved in contextual mission. Library research, interviews, and class notes provided the theological basis for this thesis/project.
