It demonstrated the need for theologically conservative women to write and teach other women how to study the Bible in a way faithful to principles of interpretation. The importance of authorial intent is emphasized rather than reader-centered approaches. The instruction of Paul in Titus 2:3-5 as applied to gender-specific hermeneutic suggests that offering women skills for interpretation envisions their unique learning styles and affirms Paul's instruction. Women should use hermeneutical principles of context, exegesis, theological analysis and genre applying these to use by women. Factors related to women teaching women include: intimacy, emotional connection, relationships, details, and the power of small group settings. The Seven Festivals of Israel in Leviticus chapter 23, served as the catalyst for this project. Two groups of postmoderns participated in an 8-week study of the festivals. The first group learned from traditional lecture-style lessons and the second explored more kinesthetic avenues of learning the material. First, the author proved that the Christocentric hermeneutic was passed down from Jesus and the Apostles directly down to the modern day preacher. Second, the author walked through selected texts from different genres of the OT to in order to buttress his thesis. The results of the project were successful. The remaining six hundred go largely unconsidered. But 2 Timothy 3:16 implies that all the laws are profitable for Christians. This project thus introduces the BETA method-a theocentric, non-legalistic approach to the laws of the Pentateuch by which preachers can interpret and proclaim the laws in a Christian way. This method recognizes the 'transcendent perpetuity' of Old Testament law and is consistent with the three uses of the law as promoted by historic Reformed theology. The project also introduces the legal collections in Exodus, including the Decalogue, the Book of the Covenant, and the tabernacle-priesthood regulations, seeking to pay careful attention to their narrative contexts and historical-cultural backgrounds. Concurrent to the project leader's preaching, a focus group met for ten weeks to explore postmodernity and to assimilate a training manual. O'Connor to establish a theological framework for understanding autistic individuals and those who love and care for them. The author first examines the religious and cultural situation in Northeastern Mexico. Then a review of ethnographic and hermeneutic literature describe currents that lie behind ethnographic and biblical interpretation. Both disciplines are driven by worldviews and these worldviews can interfere with the understanding the natives' point of view. The author concludes that the two disciplines are similar, but differences in the precision are because one is a message while the other deals with general themes. This project was designed to help students in Thailand begin a process of searching for exegetical models useful in their setting, testing a thesis that patristic modes of biblical exegesis may prove helpful. Attention was also given to the adjunct fields of New Testament interpretation of the Old Testament and biblical interpretation in the non-Western world. The seminar focuses on the utilization of the Ladder of Abstraction in deriving a timeless principle from a biblical text. Biblical application is authoritative application. The major premise of this work is that preachers should go through a process of theological principlization in validating their applications. Exposition demands authoritative application. Authoritative application comes only from the author's intent. The need for this thesis became apparent through bibliographic research which revealed limited works covering the process of principlization. Chapter two affirms the need to principlize and the validity of the method.
