For a long time, they have not acknowledged what the gospel is in detail, and they also have not known how to announce the gospel.  But it is very dangerous for the church because it might not survive without evangelism.  Moreover, at this age that the world is increasingly falling away from the church, if the church lost its vitality, which is given by evangelism, it might disappear. The purpose of this project was to enhance the basic knowledge of the Bible and facilitate the spiritual growth of new believers through implementing a narrative Bible Study program at Calvary Korean Baptist Church in Los Gatos, California.  The ten-session course, designed and led by the project director, helped the participants gain an understanding of the main biblical principles. The research, following a literature review, engaged qualitative methodology through personal interviews guided by four research questions. These questions explored the participants' beliefs about inerrancy, their approaches to difficult texts, their methods of interpretation which were largely individualistic, and their reliance upon God's guidance in understanding texts. The author researched the result using surveys before and after studying Hanukkah Bible Study. The results were that the Hanukkah Bible Study 101 and 201 influenced a positive effect in participants' faith and their church life, as well as improvement in the church's ministry. Many Christians possess fragmentary understanding of the Bible. This study was conducted at the Entire Bible Reading Ministry located in Northern Virginia. In this project, the participants read through the entire New Testament in twelve weeks. The study showed the strong need for a program which provides a particular method of Bible reading. Attitudes and behaviors of church members often tend to have an inward focus rather than an outward, invitational perspective. This dissertation examines the depth of this problem as well as the effectiveness of the implementation of a particular Bible study series as a tool for cultivating a healthy missional culture in the context of a specific congregation. Fifteen local Mennonite pastors were given a descriptive survey to help gather qualitative data to identify factors that may hinder their congregation's ability to effectively reach out to the local community. A similar survey was designated and administered to a test group of Towamencin Mennonite church members to assess the missional readiness of the congregation. From the data collected from these surveys, an eight-week Bible study series was developed and implemented as a research tool. Weekly surveys were used to assess the immediate effectiveness of each Bible study. A final survey was implemented at the end of the project to assess the effects of the Bible studies on the overall attitudes and behaviors of the group.
