Matthew","Bible--Theology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The point of this project was to communicate the practical applications of a premillennial theology of the kingdom to both personal and corporate life by means of a preaching series from select parables of Matthew's Gospel. Fifteen qualified people from the congregation evaluated the project by means of questionnaires, personal interviews, and group interviews. This project is based on a theological conviction that the gospel is the center of the story of the Bible. It argues, therefore, that preaching the gospel and expository preaching must not be separated. This thesis examines the obvious pattern of God's redemptive history that unites both the Old Testament and the New Testament. The lesson plan is stimulated by recent literature in hermeneutics and homiletics. The author researched the exegetical clues within Hebrews to determine whether or not these influence the communication in preaching. He examined the author of Hebrews' words of encouragement compared to words of warning. He concluded that there is a philosophy of preaching within Hebrews that can be modeled by contemporary preachers.
