Three families are interviewed and described.  The units interviewed consist of a remarried couple, former spouse and their spouse, and the children involved.  The themes that emerge are presented and possible areas for additional research are defined. The emotional impact upon children and parents is presented. The biblical-theological foundations of post-divorce adjustment are viewed with the aspect of forgiveness as a primary element in adjustment and decreasing stress in the post-divorce period.  Research was accomplished through a library survey of behavioral science and legal data, along with interviews of family counselors and judges.
