The culture and challenge of the new paradigm church is explored through historical influences.  The theological framework is the theology of theosis as expressed in transcendence and beauty.  Jerome Berryman's model for children's worship (Godly play) shows how through creativity and play children experience spirituality as transcendence and awe. The methodology of this technique will be transferred to adult ministry. The project involved extensive research on how to equip parents to train their children in the spiritual disciplines.  From the research the project director designed a curriculum to equip the parents to train their children selected disciplines.  An eight-week parenting workshop was conducted utilizing the curriculum in order to equip the parents.
