The study featured a historical sketch, recent controversy, CC-CC views, various opportunities in ministry found in the army chaplaincy.  A conclusion was followed by an appendix which surveyed 1,000 Protestant army chaplains reference their attitude toward the army chaplaincy.  The survey indicated that chaplains minister to families almost as much as their civilian counterparts. The project involved a five week study on nuclear war, out of which a proposal was presented to the general board of the congregation that Rush Creek Christian Church become a 'shalom congregation'. This is a national program of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) which involves a congregation committing one year of making the issue of peace the center of their worship, study, and action.  The motion to become a 'shalom congregation' failed. The report discusses the importance of money in contemporary life, the teachings of Jesus regarding money, and the biblical and psychological impact of compassion.
