A pre-test and post-test was administered on two representative groups of fifteen members of First Christian Church.  The experimental group was given four lectures on Campbell's pacifism in addition to a series of peace sermons.  The control group heard only the sermons. The denomination must move from marketing the services of its seminaries to continuing education driven by the needs of clergy.  Included is research by Barbara Wheeler of Auburn Theological Seminary of New York into the educational practices of 'innovators' and 'pacesetters.' Correlation is shown between the faith stage of clergy using the interview designed by James W Fowler and the type and style of continuing education they choose.
