The author first heightened parishioners interest in personal evangelism, then demonstrated that personal evangelism was biblical and created a six-part training program to equip them on how to do personal evangelism. Participants were then given the opportunity to implement the principles they learned in order to determine the effectiveness of this strategy. The study demonstrated that personal evangelism is an effective strategy to grow a congregation. United Methodist worship was studied in classes held with the pastors and laity of Gompa District followed with evaluations.  Other venues included Sunday School classes, Bible studies, focus groups and interviews. Attention is given to the five curriculum challenges of education theorist Maria Harris.  These challenges examine the process of catechesis in context of community, catechesis, prayer and liturgy, Gospel life, and service.
