My thesis-project tested a five-week annual small group curriculum at Harvest Bible Chapel and the results strongly recommend the use of the curriculum. The scope is centered on a Lutheran view of confirmation, in which the seventh and eighth graders experience an intensive study in Bible, Martin Luther's Small Catechism, and faith. With this need in mind the Nine Practices of The Proactive Parent was developed to address the moral vacuum cause by the lack of a comprehensive character-driven approach to parenting. This writers observations were gleaned from personal experience, interaction with parents through counseling, teaching opportunities, and in-depth study of well-known parenting experts. As a result, The Nine Practices of The Proactive Parent was developed and implemented with positive results. These results were gathered and calculated through post-course critiques and follow-on counseling. The results have been of consistent high quality. As parents developed a higher level of character-health in their own lives, the resulting impact was more recognizable character-health in their children. The project director utilized an equipping model in order to accomplish the goals for this project. The first phase of implementation for this project was to research the fields of missional worship and postmodern culture for the purpose of developing annotated bibliographies in those fields to be used as research standards. The second phase of the project was to develop a workshop curriculum for the equipping of a worship design team to address cultural and missional issues related to worship. In the third phase the project director taught the curriculum in a weekend workshop to a multigenerational group of participants in the worship ministry, including members of the worship band, praise teams, choir, and audio-visual team. Paul's responses are developed into 6 attitudes and 3 actions as the Christian's response to suffering.
