Two main elements directed this search: four special 'period' worship services, and an 'experimental' service (focused on a potential future worship style). Literary research examined the holistic evangelistic ministries of Jesus, Francis of Assisi, John Wesley, and C E Matthews, and holistic evangelism in the New Testament.  Social research involved a sermon series, weekend retreat lessons, and annual planning classes.
