Praise is defined as the demonstrative expression of adoration to God for God and his acts in history.  The project identified the biblical, theological and historical bases for expanding praise in worship.  Various elements of worship through which praise is offered are identified.  Changes in the expectations of congregants are analyzed by comparing three questionnaires completed at different times during the project period. The project included a study group that engaged in eight study sessions of the book of Psalms.  This group then divided into five sub-groups, each of which was responsible for the ordering and implementation of a worship service centered upon a theme from the Psalms.  The project also included the efforts of a project steering committee that sought to explore the plurality of the worshiping community through the use of oral interviews. An examination of the historical, sociological, and theological perspectives show that ours is an aging society and there are few resources and aids to meet the seniors' spiritual needs. The class met through an entire academic year, once every two weeks, to learn, interact, and receive training on how to be the most effective residence hall assistant.  The upper class students who participated in the program received three hours of general studies credit. Part 1 examines such issues as apodictic and casuistic law with relation to the decalogue and covenant code.  Included is a study of rebirth and discussion of treaty and covenant and the social implications of the covenant with respect to settlement and conquest.  The conclusion emphasizes the uniqueness of Israelite religion.  Part 2 addresses the Mosaic and Davidic covenants and is a 'walk through the Bible' for lay discussion in a beginner's class. The project report describes the relationship between liturgy and catechesis and develops a process for planning a program of catechesis through liturgy including suggestions for recruiting and maintaining volunteers.  Lesson plans and theological content are given for a course to train liturgical catechists. Study was undertaken of works on symbol and metaphor at the library and with professors.
