The process begins with contextual analysis and theological reflection.  Participants then deal with the practical steps which must be taken to conduct effective teaching ministries.  Study culminates in developing a plan for teaching ministry.  Evaluations indicate positive response to the process.  Members take part and express pride in the ministry. Teachers and leaders work consistently. Corporate worship was considered vital to the entire ministry of the local church.  During the project, a four-week sermon series focused on the nature and function of worship.  A twelve-week worship seminar developed the role and responsibility of corporate worshippers. The author concludes that Disciples are forsaking their historical/theological heritage in public leadership of worship. This video contains a summary of the history of Eastern churches and a theological analysis of Christianity and cultures. The video discusses the importance of the four Patriarchal cities of Jerusalem, Antioch, Alexandria and Constantinople. A common view of the means of salvation in the Eastern churches is given with particular emphasis on baptism, chrismation and Eucharist.  Lastly, the three main groups in Eastern churches (Oriental Orthodox, the (Byzantine) Orthodox, and the varied Eastern Catholic churches) are described. Assuming that some uses are better than others, the project seeks indices for evaluating materials, personnel and programs related to the lectionary. A form of factor analysis is judged the most appropriate method for discovering the indices.  An interpretive perspective is illuminated by a contrast between two distinct theological currents within contemporary Catholicism.  The lectionary is situated within one current, as are its appropriate religious education uses.  Data gathered in sixty-one interviews are reported and interpreted.
