The cabinet of the West Virginia Annual Conference is the primary laboratory, with additional resourcing from similar groups across the United Methodist connection in North America.  Results show a correlation between the strength of the cabinet's shared life and the superintendents' sense of being nurtured and empowered to do their work.  When community exists, superintendents celebrate it; when it is absent, they long for it. Beginning with a theological and historical look at aging, the project/thesis analyzes the relationship of Asbury to the church, a working paper which was presented to the board, and the design of a model of integration that is grounded in Asbury's statement of mission.
