The first section covers the geopolitical situation in the world and the human situation in the city, both of which indicate the need for ministry to world-class cities. The second section establishes the hermeneutical, theological, ecclesiological, missiological, and apologetical parameters within which this thesis project is written. The third section identifies the dilemma in the city, studies the various Christian responses to the city, and reviews evangelical ministry in Boston. The fourth section evaluates the church-planting ministry with which the writer of this thesis has been involved thus far. On the basis of the findings of these sections, a new ministry plan is presented, encompassing the planting of a model church and the establishment of local, regional, continental, and international networks. These networks are designed to provide the infrastructure for the establishment of churches in other world-class cities."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130257759141888,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:28:44.163Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:55:16Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:23:59Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"129efe4e-e664-455a-8013-6aa13503a759","accessControl_ssim":["91e50a38-644c-4b82-9907-88dc16905e9f"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The end of the world as we know it: alternative models of church for the 21st century"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:55:15Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:39:54Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["65603426-52e4-4d4d-9e2b-f24015dd185c"],"hasLease_ssim":["06e9415c-a12d-4861-bc95-ff80b642e22c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Raymond F Pendleton"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Michael G.E Krause"],"publisher_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. To furnish a biblical foundation, the project follows the movement of the first century church from the temple to the house described in the Lukan narrative. Twelve elements of apostolic mission from Luke 10-11 are incorporated into a church-planting model that connects with the households of our day - pre-existing relational networks of people meeting in third places. This biblical model reproduces organically, without depending on a church building, hierarchical structures or paid clergy. It presumes a profound reorientation of ecclesiology around the missio Dei so that mission shapes structure. The author describes specific examples of houseold church planting and applies the model to Hills Church, a house church in Thornhill, Ontario."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129962363748352,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:24:02.452Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:05:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:25:39Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2a02de57-64fe-4685-9e23-5f820b7bfcb7","accessControl_ssim":["12cc4038-e94a-44ae-bcc8-8c9b2122e8f7"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A study of the factors that contribute to the cultivation of church multiplication movements by high-yield church planting organizations"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:05:25Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:21:51Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["b8dbc1a3-981f-456c-82bf-ca2a4eeb2d55"],"hasLease_ssim":["c0fbaaee-72b5-4cd5-b6cb-96aabd07f1ca"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Patrick Taylor"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["James M Wood"],"publisher_tesim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Evangelistic work","Church development, New"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The issue of my research is to study high-yield church planting organizations (i.e. para-church organizations, local churches, regional judicatories and denominations) in order to determine the factors that contribute to the cultivation of church multiplication movements.
