It reviews biblical foundations for servant leadership and dimensions of its contextualization among the Isaan. It investigates and defends the thesis that apprenticeship is an appropriate and effective methods for developing servant leaders in Isaan. Effectiveness is evaluated through action research, applied to the leadership training program of LIFE. Qualitative materials compliment quantitative analysis for a mixed method analysis. The training approach produced new leaders. They are: vision, staff, lay leaders and core volunteers, finances, location and facility, ministries, technology and equipment, governance and operations structures. Nine churches that have successfully launched multi-sites were selected as field participants.  A developed survey was administered to the participants and the results analyzed to validate or invalidate the hypothesis. This project presents a model that engages in strategic planning and implementation of an Afrocentric NCD from a holistic standpoint.  The planning for an Afrocentric NCD provides for a new paradigm for the North Georgia Conference (NGC). The biblical foundations seminal to such an NCD and the theological contours of mission Dei serve as a framework. The context within the UMC and a specific geographical area are explored and developed. Precedent research included a brief study of the spiritual difficulties facing second-generation Koreans, as well as relevant church planting and scriptural concerns.  Utilizing descriptive research, the author surveyed leaders of second-generation Korean congregations.  The objective was to obtain practical information and valuable insight into the strategies used to successfully establish independent congregations. It is aggressive and diverse and requires an entrepreneurial initiative, which not every pastor has. Special characteristics, qualities, traits and skills are required in order for these pastors to succeed. Just what those characteristics or qualities are is the subject of this study. To identify them, the methods or instruments of research used were a written questionnaire and an oral interview. The focus was upon five Brazilian American pastors who are successfully engaged in new church development in several different states. A research survey was conducted with six organizing pastors of congregations started by the MAC within the last fifteen years.  The survey focused upon congregational perceptions and in particular what was important and driving the congregations at their inception.
