Through development of a mission statement, recruiting lay involvement in mission, and increasing financial giving to the congregation, the thesis was validated by results. There were also intentional efforts to increase the outreach proportion of spending.  The project uses case study approaches, looking at the efforts carried out within the target congregation. In addition to preaching and teaching, the project also pursued leadership training and administrative changes. The project sought to appeal to God's people as intellectual, emotional, and volitional beings.
