This involved describing essential leadership practices and specific leadership style(s) indicative of pastors leading Nazarene churches to experience growth. This study was a descriptive, correlational study utilizing a researcher designed questionnaire.  The research disclosed that a definiite and unique relationship exists between pastoral leadership style and dynamic growth in Nazarene churches.  The findings of the study confirmed that 'coaching' and 'catalyst' leadership styles are more apt to lead Nazarene churches to experience growth. The method of study was a multiple case study in the descriptive mode.  This involved studying those particular churches having turned around from a small, established, declining congregation into a growing church with a 20 percent sustained increase within five years. The research yielded thirteen instrumental factors in the turnaround of a declining church into a growing church. The criterion for participation in the study was a church growth of at least 50 percent over the past five years. A survey was conducted of the pastors and key leaders using a researcher designed questionnaire.  The purpose of the questionnaire was to gain an understanding of the church health characteristics each church possessed. The research involved an evaluation study in the quasi-experimental mode, which utilized a pre- and post-test design with no comparison group.  Mid-series and post-series interviews were also conducted. The research discloses that when the salient characteristic of a congregation is ambiguity, a focus on identity and vision has the potential to increase energy for mission in the congregation more than an emphasis on programs or congregational health. Plans were developed to address relational, spiritual and emotional needs of persons living in Winder, Georgia.  The theological and biblical themes justifying the discovery of and ministry to particular human needs were developed.  Authorities in the disciplines of sociology and church growth were studied.  Sermons and survey instruments were created.  Community surveys were conducted and the needs of the focus group were prioritized. He observed that the 'mobilization of believers' was promoted by many Chinese pastors in their churches with mixed results.  Through a wide range of survey and in-depth case studies, he sought to provide models for mobilization of believers that are balanced in theory and practice. Drawing on these four studies she then concludes that the church will need a new kind of worker to share the gospel with the new generation of people in the 21st Century.
