It addresses two key research questions: (1) the internal and external factors influencing church multiplication, and (2) the role of theological\r\nframeworks in shaping these practices. \r\n\r\nBridge Church, grounded in the Gospel of the Kingdom theology, emphasizes relational depth, spiritual formation, and organic leadership transitions. While this approach fosters sustainable, mission-aligned growth, it faces challenges such as delayed multiplication and leadership fatigue, often influenced by life-stage constraints and strong relational bonds. In contrast, Green Hill Church adopts principles from the Church Growth Movement (CGM), prioritizing structured training, hierarchical efficiency, and rapid multiplication. Though effective in achieving numerical growth, this pragmatic approach can result in emotional strain, fragmented relationships, and premature leadership assignments.\r\n\r\nThe findings indicate that sustainable church multiplication requires a balance of theological integrity, relational trust, structured leadership pathways, and life-cycle sensitivity. Integrating the relational and theological depth of Kingdom theology with the strategic clarity of CGM offers a promising framework for growth. The research investigates two primary questions: (1) How, if any, does expository preaching enhance understanding of Scripture? and (2) How, if any, has expository preaching influenced spiritual growth and maturity, leading to missional impact on unbelievers?\r\n\r\nUsing a mixed-methods approach, the researcher preached an expository sermon at six Nigerian Pentecostal Churches in Chicagoland and collected data through surveys (n=47), focus group interviews (n=18), and participant observation. Based on Acts 3, the sermon demonstrated proper exegesis and African Hermeneutics to ensure cultural relevance while maintaining biblical fidelity.\r\n\r\nThe research findings indicated that 72% of participants reported a deeper understanding of Scripture after experiencing expository preaching. In comparison, 98% believed regular exposure to expository sermons would aid their spiritual growth and lead to a missional impact. The research revealed that most Nigerian Pentecostal Church members had limited prior exposure to expository preaching, with many churches prioritizing prosperity theology and motivational messages over systematic biblical teaching. The study identified several challenges to implementing expository preaching in this context, including limited theological training among pastors, cultural expectations around preaching style, and structural constraints such as insufficient sermon time. The 2025 United States presidential transition coincided with the timing of the research fieldwork (January to March 2025). This event significantly impacted immigrant church attendance and research participation.\r\n\r\nThis researcher concludes that expository preaching has substantial potential to transform Nigerian Pentecostal Church Members in Chicagoland. Expository preaching would enhance biblical literacy, foster spiritual maturity, and equip the members for effective evangelism. The decline in membership and attendance was the catalyst behind revitalization for this church. My initial research and discovery focused on the external demographics of the surrounding community. The next area of study was church revitalization, which resulted in an executive summary of best \r\npractices of church revitalization. A vision team was created to build a  strategy, strengthen the congregation, and grow the church into a healthy  body of believers. The vision team and I evaluated GBC's internal demographics, conducted an internal church survey, and created a report of critical needs. The team developed a revitalization strategy for the church using external and internal demographics, best practices, and a report of \r\ncritical needs. The revitalization strategy was presented to Golfview Baptist Church, Lake Wales, Florida, for approval and implementation. However, people are still hungry for God’s Word. This paper is a case study of the renewal and revitalization of Hope Lutheran Church, drawing on my own thirty years of experience in the ministry. All of my congregations experienced growth during my time serving as pastor, and this dissertation is a description of my strategies for renewal. In this, the most important aspect is the pastor’s own personal walk. In order to meet the demands of ministry, a pastor must have prayer time and a devotional life outside of pastoral study time.\r\n\r\nFrom there, there are four main areas to address for a church looking to revitalize. The first is to heal. A pastor looking to renew his congregation needs to ask his congregants what the church is doing right and where the church has room to grow. He needs to listen to the hurt people carry in their own spiritual lives, and from there he must provide sound guidance from God’s Word while directing people to the sacraments.\r\n\r\nSecondly, the pastor must establish a confessional program of Biblical education for youth and old alike. Next, the pastor must ask, “Who used to be coming? And who needs to be coming?” Reach out to the inactive members and unchurched members of the community. Finally, the growing church must serve together. Most communities have people lacking basic necessities such as food and housing.
