The major components of the project were: goal setting, communication, conflict management, personality type, and spiritual gifts. This process was followed for a period of two months with proper evaluative tools designed to show improvement. Initially a survey tool was sent to 70 parish teams across the US. The questionnaire asked for information to study the make-up of a team, while asking each person to define team ministry, the strengths and weaknesses of this ministry and several questions asking about the group's interaction associated with decision-making, conflicts, power and authority.  The research shows that teams define themselves differently.  Yet all groups agreed that much dialogue and intense work is needed if they are to become a team.  The more successful teams allowed room for individual differences, encouraged group interaction and used skills to help them deal with conflicts.  Commitment to group dynamics is essential for a staff to become a more cohesive group. The purpose was to review the correlation between churches that employ administrative procedures in their daily operation and those that do not in regard to the overall effect this has had on the church.  Fourteen (14) Black Baptist churches participated in this research. They provided information on various aspects of the administrative process that was utilized to transact business in their church (e.g., membership growth, membership attendance at worship service, financial giving, and membership retention over the past five years). Information was also obtained pertaining to the organizational structure of the church and how this structure functioned administratively. In addition to the questionnaire, there was also an interview with the pastors to provide them with an opportunity to articulate their management philosophy and approach to administration.
