The method comes from a theology of administration based upon Paul's biblical themes of renewal, transformation, and implementation found in Romans 12:1-2.  The results are an initial acceptance of a three-year plan of administration together with goals for new ministries and programs. Evaluations of the project by church leaders are more positive toward the success of the church's ministry in the future. Built upon the theme of the congregation as the people of God, a biblical/historical/theological rationale for church revitalization was established.  Four research instruments were developed and were administered to church members, community residents, and experimental and control groups.  The experimental group was instrumental in implementing this ministry project. Spiritual awakening is in the sovereignty of God.  However, believers can position themselves to be used by God.  A key aspect of this positioning is a lifestyle of repentance.  The ultimate desire is to see God bring revival to the life of the church and community.  The project consisted of six teaching sessions, an eight-message sermon series, and the completion of a life journal.
