A seven-session series with videos and a workbook was created to heighten awareness of maintenance mode ministry and evoke renewal through memory and identity.  A leader was recruited to lead a test congregation through videos, workbook, and discussion, and to gather data from verbal and written responses. The model utilized a sermon series and small group Bible study to increase the congregation's ability to perform long-term visioning. Consequences of the qualitative analysis indicated the intervention resulted in increased awareness of vision, related to spiritual calling in the lives of the small group and the congregation. To answer this, a six-month project involving teaching, preaching, spiritual formation, study and discussion was undertaken to help the congregation learn more about their Wesleyan heritage and reclaim relevant portions of it. Surveys at the beginning and end of the project were used to measure learning growth. A sermon series, a small group experience, and other awareness opportunities were utilized. A literature review of revitalized churches suggested seven common elements programmed into churches that have moved from decline to vitality.  Those elements were implemented into the life of Crossroads over a two year period.  Evaluation took place in terms of participation levels, new members, and small group attendance and a survey questionnaire.
