In recent years, Lutheran schools have been faced with a variety of uncertainties and trends which highlight a crisis of identity and purpose, and call for a shift from the historic 'parochial' to a 'missional' paradigm. Missional leadership is a critical factor in developing a missional paradigm fro Lutheran schools. The act of ministry provided two opportunities to educate parishioners about their parish day school and about Episcopal schools in order to increase support for the school as a ministry of the parish. Quantitative and qualitative assessments were made through surveys and a focus group. These assessments suggest that providing opportunities to welcome and educate parishioners about their parish school can increase support for the school and improve the school-parish relationship. The theological foundation incorporates the missio dei, hospitality, and the Trinity. Participants took a mission trip to visit a rural church school in Haiti and were then interviewed about their experience. Family systems theory and the theology of service and relationships informed the project and the interpretation of the outcomes. New, lasting interpersonal bonds among the travelers were evident, as were strengthened ties to the sister institutions. The case of this study is Ehwa Media High School.  this study proposes a spiritual education with these steps: meeting God, meeting our neighbors, and meeting ourselves.  It suggests the following proposals: spiritual education is needed in religious education of the school.  Knowledge-based religious education needs to be reconsidered.  Spiritual education brings about the participation of students and their transformation.  Spiritual education helps students have a good image of Christianity. However, the clear meaning for many Gospel metaphor sources are lost in today's culture, especially among youth. The purpose of this Major Applied Project was to help high school students gain a greater understanding of the Gospel message by updating the metaphor sources, by using a common element in their culture, cinema. Scenes from popular movies were used to help students better understand and articulate the following Gospel metaphors: redemption, ransom, rescue, reconciliation, regeneration, replace and release. The research administered the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) and four employee conflict resolution seminars to Christian school faculty members to measure relatively effective employee conflict resolution behavior.  There were no statistically significant results between pretest and posttest for the total group or for the men or women faculty. This dual model, which sees human nature as fixed with biologically assigned roles for men and women, is contrasted to additional models, most notably a multi-polar anthropology which sees human nature as informed by culture. Many of their ideas and concerns are listed, along with their expressed desire to growth in their ability to teach from a Christian worldview. The context of this ministry model is a private school at Gravel Run Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, VA. Students were the same age, grade level, culture, and received similar courses of study. Student and parent interviews were also done to obtain deeper insight.
