It also includes their spiritual formation through a quiet day, worship, contemplation, and reflection upon study, and limited field experience in selected ministries of evangelization.  The project provides opportunities for prayer and reflection upon this part of the mission of the church to more effectively proclaim the gospel in word and deed. Drawing upon this experience, the core group engages in the training of others for this ministry. Drawing upon this experience, the elders engaged in training others for this caring ministry. The project included 3 phases: planning, preparation and program.  During the final phase, the project director, his nine project assistants, and a trained corps of thirty volunteers from the church made approximately seventy ministry contacts to the church's military families during periods of job-related separation. The project documented a nine-month intervention process specifically designed for one parish.  As a result of the intervention, the council members grew in their understanding of the church's mission, the pastor acquired new ministerial skills, accountability was more evident, and the council and its commissions functioned more effectively.  This study found that collaborative ministry requires commitment and patience. Some implications for the recruitment, training and assignment of ministers are identified. Implementation of ministry can follow different models for ministry, such as vocational, project and corporate models. The methods of research for this project include sociological and demographic studies of a community.  The findings are related to models for ministry based on the stories of Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus found in Philippians 2. It focuses on the problems and possibilities for ministers who share ministry with the same congregation.  From Phyllis Trible's God and the Rhetoric of Sexuality the author takes the definition of feminism as a critique of culture in light of misogyny.  This definition provides the starting point for her critique of ministry.  From Elisabeth Schuessler Fiorenza's book In Memory of Her she learns the ways of feminist hermeneutics which serve as a critical tool for viewing the development of the church and ministry and as a constructive tool for seeing and creating new possibilities in ministry. Shared ministry, the possibility which the author envisions, applies a feminist hermeneutics to the life of the church.
