The Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam together provide a lens for transforming Christian education. The frame of deep pluralism reinforces both openness and faithfulness. Congregants become 'confirmed' (strengthened together) as Christian 'confidels' (with faith) as they faithfully emulate Christ's incorporative love and appreciate other traditions. The Robert K. Greenleaf Center's emphasis, 'Servant leader's ten characteristics,' was made in to the Bible study teaching material, 'Do as I have done for you.'  The teaching material was aimed at the participants who wanted to attend the Ames Korean United Methodist Church small group leadership class.  'A Bible study for servant leadership as lay leadership training program' was successfully executed.  In order to measure the effect on the lay leader training program, the first program of participants completed an assessment of the program.  In order to measure the awareness of changes as a servant leader, the second program of participants completed another assessment. The research question is 'how can a congregation improve its ability to reach into the margins of the community?' The case study method was used to apply specific Wesleyan principles to a local congregation and evaluate their effectiveness for a congregation to minister in a community that is radically diverse. There are three issues to be explored in this study. First is to examine a congregation's process of reaching into a very diverse community. Second is to identify new methods and processes of reaching into a community that is rich in diversity. The LSSC offered modules, targeting particular leadership needs in one district.  Using two approaches, development oa ministry tool and case study, she explored ecclesiology of small churches and tailored learning/training events to some realities of the small church: primacy of relationships, simpler organizational structure, and lay-oriented power. Five leaders were selected and equipped in cognitive ability, skills and affect for six months.  This equipping process included six training sessions, implementing the core elements of small group ministry: effective leadership, good community environment, balanced small group activities into the small groups and individual monthly mentoring.  All the leaders demonstrated spiritual growth and improved their understanding of the concepts and practical skills of doing small group ministry. To test this idea of community, we conducted leadership training to handle every member should they decide to join one. Seven new leaders and apprentices along with a host family carried the load of creating our desired result of connecting our church membership into small groups. The project surveyed congregants' attitudes and experiences of priesthood. Responses were compared with 'official' church teaching in the context of a parish-wide conversation. Parishioners identified both tensions and possibilities for exploring lay and ordained ministries.
