The time parameter was May 6, 2001 until October 7, 2001.  Biblical research focused on the prayers of Abraham (Gen 18:22-33), Moses (Exod 32:11-14), Paul (Phil 1:3-8), and Jesus (John 17:1-26).  Contemporary studies were explored, which addressed the scientific experimentation concerning the relationship of prayer and therapeutic medical treatment.  Research methods included survey instruments at the beginning and end of the project along with two focus groups for evaluation. The purpose was to delegate many responsibilities of the ministry to leadership teams.  This resulted in more singles becoming involved.  Twenty-five singles were surveyed to determine their attitudes before and after the project.  Leadership teams were selected based on several factors, then trained.  A large single adult conference was the focal point of the project.  The results of the study showed little affect on the singles' attitudes. The study included two preliminary caucuses and independent interviews with the pastors, and several training colloquiums where pastors were taught to use this standardized curriculum.  Surveys instruments and evaluation tools were incorporated to measure the usefulness of the materials and the director's effectiveness.  There was common agreement on the need for a standard curriculum. In order to achieve this objective, the project leader enlisted nine people for training as a part of the project. The director preached eight sermons on various aspects of prayer and developed materials for eight sessions of instruction for nine people who composed the small group. These sermons and materials for the appendices. These nine people have become the catalysts for the implementation of an intercessory prayer ministry which was launched on June 5, 2005. The first goal is to understand the nature and discern the basic principles of intercessory prayer within the teachings of Jesus. Second is to develop an intercessory prayer ministry at the Lafayette Korean Baptist Church. The project leader's method for the implementation of these goals is to select a group of nine people and teach them the foundational elements on prayer that are found in the teachings of Jesus and to offer pragmatic opportunities to pray. This project will last for eight weeks. The final goal is to equip this core group for leadership responsibilities in launching a perennial intercessory ministry in their church. This study was conducted to determine the affect, if any, of church participation on the quality of and satisfaction in marriage. Six couples who take an active part in church activities were interviewed and the results of their experiences were studied. These results showed a positive influence of their church activity on their respective marriages. Several of the reasons found for this positive feeling were hope and support, giving of oneself, friends and social engagements, and an overall good attitude toward marriage and life in general. The qualitative study of six United Methodist churches affected by the divorce of their pastors, this study addresses the minimally researched phenomenon of how clergy divorce affects a local church and the factors that influence a local church in its recovery. The author discovered that a local churches recovery is influenced by various relationships that exist between the pastor and the local church.
