Tests used were the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Role Preference Inventory, Inventory of Spiritual Gifts plus several self-discovery exercises and journaling.  Six participants attended eight two-hour sessions.  Lectures and Bible studies and group discussion aided in personal discoveries of grace-gifts and how they can be used in a congregation and community. Results of the study indicated that grace-gifts can be identified by this method but that more information is needed from both congregation and community that suggests specific ways these grace-gifts can be used. The project deals with churches which basically have a heritage of an evangelical background with prime emphasis on the preaching of the gospel and a definite experience in Christ.  For this project six churches were personally interviewed and fifty-eight churches responded to a questionnaire in relationship to the ministries of their churches. Inspired by liberation theology, this candidate builds a theological perspective and describes the design of a formation for ministry program. Part one analyzes the influence of the rite's theological anthropology and asceticism in ministering to the sick. Part two describes the five-session, in-service learning workshop. The method used to develop the model followed two designs: the use of a survey questionnaire, and the interaction with and observation of a group of twelve pastors and interns. Together these sources suggested a type of supervision which focused on administration of congregational life and program, pastoral care, social ministry, stewardship, enabling lay ministry, and which experienced the supervisory relationship as one of working together and planning jointly. The method used to achieve this involvement was small group scripture study, sharing, personal goal-setting, exposure to relational evangelism, and worship planning.
