A pro-active research method was used. The author hoped that the program participants would be transformed by the experience and this would result in their becoming involved in ministries with the poor and homeless. After completing the program, the author reports the answer to the thesis question is yes. In addition a narrative summary, lessons learned, and an analysis of the project's effect on the author, community, and author's church are provided.
