The paper also offers specific practical suggestions for working with victims and survivors. The author has used her own experience of victimization and the experiences of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse as a way of presenting the issues involved.  The biblical record is explored, looking first at the roots of violence evident in Scripture and, also, the seeds of hope contained therein.
