This pseudo experiment took place by use of a spiritual formation group that included both abused and non-abused women. This was a six-week group. Concepts of submission were explored. Pre and post assessments were utilized to assess changes in attitude around this concept. Nine women participated in the project. The eight week process included pre and posttest surveys. Qualitative and quantitative analysis were used to determine impact. Results indicate that participants gained significant awareness of their healing process and experienced measurable positive impact on their identity in Christ and on their experience of heart to heart encounter with Jesus. The results of the study provided evidence that understanding biblical marriage and small groups had an impact on the participants' understanding of God's biblical view of marriage. The community found in small groups helped to successfully impact the participants' views of marriage, which were validated through the data.
