Data was gained from on-site visits to over twenty ministries in recreational areas from Maine to California.  These ministries were then presented according to their primary goals: worship, evangelism, counseling, and social action. A discussion of evangelistic strategies in recreational areas recommends the use of friendship, proclamation, and contact evangelism. Findings from on-site visits and research into evangelistic strategies are joined together in plans for establishing an evangelistic ministry among recreational areas in Maine. The third phase was model construction and field testing. The methods used were sociologically framed and praxis based. They were informed by qualitative research (grounded theory) and colored by the author's own poetic, intuitive learning.
