The results established certain commonalities in work-related personality characteristics among the research group, which aided in producing a 'pastor suitability profile' of personality characteristics judged significant for a job-fit with the pastoral ministry. This thesis was explored using two methods of data collection: a series of case consultation meetings involving two separate clergy groups; and a survey of 228 Michigan clergy.
