This survey model invited fourteen district superintendents across the connection to claim the underlying spiritual power available to them in a ministry of administration. Results of the surveys show that district superintendents desire a disciplined spiritual life.  The shape of that spiritual formation will differ from one individual to the next. A bi-monthly, six-hour spiritual enrichment cluster assisted pastors at their own level of spirituality.  Clusters included assignments and readings, discussion of two disciplines, and sharing progress in implementing the disciplines. Assessment instruments gave pastors a before and after evaluation of their individual progress.  Pastors registered not only an increased passion for God, but also personal growth in the fruit of the Spirit.  Daily times spent in prayer and reflection increased appreciably.
