The praxis director initiated this praxis to help members develop a biblical ecclesiology and to consider how such an ecclesiology ought to dictate how they participate in the life of the local church. It is evident in many communities of faith and among individual believers that there is a problematic lack of passion, urgency, and interest in faithfully carrying out one's call to discipleship. For this project five individual congregations and their pastors were studied and assessed as models that have bridged the gap from apathy to mission and from casual observer to faithful disciple. Data was gathered through general observation, open-ended questionnaires, face-to-face interviews, and surveys. Each of these factors is analyzed to show its impact on congregations' response to keeping within the fellowship(s). Since 2005, the unchurched segment among this age group increased from 44% to 52%.  The project sought to demonstrate that activating spiritual gifts in young adults, complemented by mentoring and training, increases their church attendance and commitment to God. Research methodologies included cognitive interviews, pre and post surveys, structured observations, leadership development, written testimonials and participation in church activities.  Hypothesis testing measured attitudinal changes related to awareness, actions, perception and reasoning. The results of this project will serve to help local churches facilitate single millennials to become committed church members. Single millennials hold a worldview that makes it difficult for them to participate in the local church in the way that the New Testament describes. This worldview or individualism causes millennials to participate in local churches without commitment, and their loose affiliation with the local church is producing spiritual nomads. The New Testament clearly describes the Christian life being lived within the bounds of committed membership in the local church. The problem at hand is answering the question of how a nine year old church remains committed to honoring God and making more disciples for Jesus Christ. The hypothesis is that if that church remains committed to a biblical vision, it will remain honoring to God and making disciples. The project tested this hypothesis with a congregation survey to understand attitudes towards Timberwood Church's vision. Chapter one gave the history of Timberwood, which started on Easter Sunday 2004. Chapter two outlined some biblical and theological foundations that support the biblical vision. Chapter three allowed the reader to place Timberwood in the history of evangelical thought and practice. Chapter four tested the hypothesis with a project that surveyed the regular attendees and members of Timberwood. This survey explored their understanding of the DNA and values of Timberwood Church as well as attitudes towards the same.
