At the present time, Hopewell is a land locked, large church meeting on one campus in an older part of Gainesville, Georgia. The vision of the project director is that this large church will embrace this strategy in order to reach more people in the growing community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.The project director carried this project out in four steps. Step one was to explore the demographics of a five, ten, and twenty-mile radius of the church's current location. Step two was to explore existing multicampus models in order to obtain best practices. The third step was to develop a strategy for Hopewell Baptist Church, Gainesville, Georgia, to employ a multicampus approach. The project director used the Preaching Skills Enhancement Model to design the project. He began by researching the current trends in collaborative preaching and sermon preparation. Based on this research, he developed a process for sermon preparation that included collaborative skills. The director studied the effectiveness of this process by developing six sermons with a sermon-planning team of selected elders and lay leaders from Christview Christian Church. Epistles of Paul"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Although independent Baptist pastoral training institutions have served the Spanish-speaking church in Latin America for decades, most have become stagnated in academic development and institutional advancement.  The purpose of this study was to develop a strategic plan that will encourage these institutions to pursue an accreditation model.  This study identified five impediments to this pursuit. 1.         Insufficient academic preparation of professors2.         Excessive government restrictions3.         Poor economic situation in country4.         Lack of interest/Lack of knowledge of benefits5.         Low academic level of studentsThis quantitative data was obtained through a Delphi survey of twenty-two individuals from three distinct subgroups: (1) Independent Baptist missionaries actively involved in pastoral training in Spanish-speaking Latin America, (2) Independent Baptist Hispanic pastors or professors who were trained in Latin America and who retain involvement in this ministry, and (3) Independent Baptist theological educators who have experience with the accreditation process.  Through the Delphi survey the participants suggested the above-mentioned impediments to the pursuit of an accreditation model.  The Delphi expert panel also provided qualitative data by sharing additional insight into the nature of the impediments through comments made within the survey and personal conversations with the author.Once the five impediments had been identified a Delphi support team worked with the author to develop a strategic plan to address each impediment.  Specific goals were set, and action steps were identified. Throughout the Scriptures and history, there are multiple examples of those who were called to that challenging and lonely task.  This project developed a framework for preaching in the post-disaster context, based on analysis of sermons preached on the Sunday following the 2017 landfall of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and interviews of the pastors who preached those sermons.  This project also includes analysis and synthesis of data from surveys. Discipleship is deeply rooted in scripture.  Even at a cursory look, one can easily see its importance to the church. There have been countless books, studies, programs, and training opportunities available for pastors and churches to educate their people about discipleship.  However, the process of evaluating one’s effectiveness in discipleship is often a piece of the puzzle that is left out.  This project journals one churches process of defining, assessing, and cultivating their holistic process of disciple making.  As you continue to lead your church through this process of evaluation, you may find this research helpful to your process.  No two churches are alike, and no two evaluations will be identical. Luke"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Chapter 1 of this dissertation project argues that using a disciple-making method that has relationship-building as a key ingredient in the process is more effective in reaching African-American inner-city apartment residents than door-to-door evangelism using tracts. This study is a comparison of how evangelism is typically done among Baptist churches (and most Evangelical churches) with how it should be done to fulfill the Great Commission.Chapter 2 argues that both God and man have roles in evangelism, and that God’s sovereignty does not exempt man from his responsibility and accountability to God in receiving and sharing the gift of salvation.Chapter 3 examines segments of evangelism and missions from a historical perspective and records insights for contemporary ministry from a historical and theological perspective.Chapter 4 Describes the new people Group: African-American inner-city transient apartment residents. It describes their culture, world view, and their self-image.Chapter 5 conducts research in the selected environment with selected indigenous individuals to collect and analyze data to discover the most effective means to reach inner-city African-American apartment residents with the Gospel.Chapter 6 argues the conclusion, based upon the findings of the research accumulated from the two trained teams and the six selected families, that evangelism which engages in disciple-making after leading persons to Christ, is twice as effective as evangelism models that lead persons to Christ but do not include any follow-up and training. The disciple-making model is effective in this context and can be duplicated in the twenty-first century. This study does not compare evangelism without disciple making with evangelism with disciple making. In order to do this, the project director researched sermons and created a sermon model. The project directory created eight part model sermons to his congregation during Sunday worship. A group of experts assessed the model sermons and their assessments were used to determine the sermons’ effect and reach. From the research and assessments the project director was able to find the key factors of sermon skills and made a plan to improve sermon skills. He also looked at the before and after of the congregation’s spiritual awareness to find changes and made that the focus of his results.
