Considerable attention is given in the manual to biblical examples of conflict and to cross-cultural factors that influence the way conflict is dealt with in other cultures.  Sources of material included books, articles, and DMN courses on conflict management, inter-cultural negotiations, and cross-cultural management. I also drew from my personal observations as well as those of my associates serving with GMU International. The manual has five major sections.  They are designed for a series of five seminar sessions of two to three hours each. Ministry with Hmong by forty-one churches in central California and Twin Cities, Minnesota are analyzed.  The Hmong language questionnaire reveals Hmong church leaders' preference for gradual acculturaltion, compared with English language questionnaires expecting rapid assimilation/integration/adaptation.  The author documents the effects of forty centuries of forced migration and dislocation and resettlement of the Hmong, and argues for acculturation of Hmong by multi-lingual, transcultural congregations. Besondere Beachtung finden die Bestrebungen, den Bezugsrahmen über die kirchlichen Bereiche hinaus zu erweitern und die Öffentlichkeit über die Printmedien einzubeziehen. The theological and theoretical rationale included a brief study of Biblical examples, sociological factors (cultural perceptions, family, and national origin), cross-cultural ministries, and cross-cultural communication.
