These churches conduct a combined fellowship worship service, a mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico, and two Spanish-language worship services at Johnson Chapel. After sensitizing the church to the need, the project directs a small group in seven weeks of intense evaluation, study, and review of personal relationships in the Bible and in the practical experience of the participants. Research in current literature and pastoral experience inform an understanding of the special characteristics of Taiwanese immigrants that underlies the project's analytic survey of Taiwanese American churches in Southern California.
