The theological rationale proposed for appropriateness of interreligious dialogue is based on God's continual dialogue with humanity.  The universal biblical motives in the Bible correspond theologically with a dialogical approach because the Bible is the story of God's on-going dialogue in the history of mankind, the story of God's mighty deeds from the beginning of the creation. Seven persons participated in the nine-week study, the first two being didactic sessions that covered worship and preaching.  They then participated in a Lenten Bible study-seminar of the New Common Lectionary texts. From the study, the author gained insights for the sermon. Utilizing a control group, the author conducted a pre-test and post-test.
