In recent years, Lutheran schools have been faced with a variety of uncertainties and trends which highlight a crisis of identity and purpose, and call for a shift from the historic 'parochial' to a 'missional' paradigm. Missional leadership is a critical factor in developing a missional paradigm fro Lutheran schools. The project combines biblical themes of alienation and transformation with popular culture portrayals of the outsider as mutant.
