Through the exploration of this community, as well as those responsible for mission formation, one can glean the gifts of Jesuit education that are accessible for a broader audience, as well as craft a way of proceeding in the work of mission formation and animation that can benefit all employees. This project demonstrates that authentic encounter with the wisdom of the Jesuit educational mission, acknowledgement and celebration of the unique gifts these employees bring to mission work, and demonstration of both the relevance and benefit of mission to any work within a Jesuit institution, invite this population to a richer connection to mission. This connection to mission serves the well-being and growth of the employee, which in turn increases the well-being and health of the entire institution and its constituents."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC-EDU/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/downloads/ea43fd60-8823-416e-963b-eb275d3edfdd?file=thumbnail","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_ids_ssim":["ea43fd60-8823-416e-963b-eb275d3edfdd"],"file_set_ids_ssim":["ea43fd60-8823-416e-963b-eb275d3edfdd"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["lauren.schwer@gmail.com"],"_version_":1797407731324289024,"timestamp":"2024-04-26T14:26:29.474Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-12-12T18:03:54Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:48:05Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"48427bb4-d837-4cce-8b90-b0cbdfbba52f","accessControl_ssim":["5687b008-ebc1-4e7c-b0bf-e2be4958efe2"],"depositor_ssim":["roger.peters@ctsfw.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["roger.peters@ctsfw.edu"],"title_tesim":["Swimming Against the Stream: Re-dedicating to Parochial School Education in a Post-Christian Context"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-12-12T18:03:53Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:14:52Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["33163ba0-18d8-4301-82c8-257fe5e75d47"],"hasLease_ssim":["7c4b4358-08c7-4d90-aa51-e3f270f67a4b"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Concordia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Charles Gieschen"],"committee_member_tesim":["Arthur Just Jr.","Peter Scaer"],"year_tesim":["2019"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The key question is whether the congregation understands the purpose of the parochial school in the same way that those who started the school understood their purpose in doing so. Institutions, including parochial schools, have a tendency to take their raison d'être for granted and begin to exist for the sake of perpetuating themselves as institutions. To re-dedicate to parochial school ministry in a worthwhile way that serves the true mission for which it was founded, a congregation must evaluate its own assumptions about, goals for, and perceptions of the school ministry. This project provides a template for honestly evaluating the pros and cons of continuing to operate a parochial school in difficult circumstances and honestly comparing the stated, original purposes for the school with the actual purposes for the school in the minds of the congregation members. It offers an example of one way to take a congregation through this self-examination process and in this case, how to help the congregation re-dedicate itself to parochial school ministry."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Concordia The pastor of Union Baptist Church in Clarke County, Mississippi, is planning to launch Christian addiction-recovery ministries centered on weekday Celebrate Recovery [registered symbol] meetings. The ministries are collaborative works involving selected Chrsitians from Southern Baptist churches in the local Baptist associations. Phase two of these ministries include the addition of a rotating Friday night contemporary worship service at the same non-church locations where the weekday meetings will be held. Three goals are the foundation of this Doctor of Ministry equipping project. The first goal is to research addiction recovery in order to identify group facilitation skills. The second goal is to develop a curriculum to equip selected addiction-recovery ministry leaders in east Mississippi, in group facilitation skills. The third and final project goal is to equip selected addiction-recovery ministry leaders in east Mississippi, in group facilitation skills. The literature review chapter studies the following church revitalization themes: the type of leader needed, church leadership structure, outward missionary focus, leading change, and minstry areas to change."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Denver Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7af129f-938f-4821-9463-dc6ded35d563"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133657779404800,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:22:46.674Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:41:16Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:51:26Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"21810846-251b-42b1-afbb-0ac02aa17bd7","accessControl_ssim":["4d8f043c-7c61-443b-aa27-5434ca442c91"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Gospel Boundaries: Implementing the Evangelical Alliance's Doctrinal Basis of 1846 to Determine Cooperation in Christian Education"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:41:15Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:07:46Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7ff82c6e-bc81-4cb5-a793-27ec6828a65e"],"hasLease_ssim":["4b67b990-6a92-40a0-b462-4b94ee03de81"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert W Caldwell"],"year_tesim":["2017"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jeffery A Moore"],"publisher_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Evangelicalism","Christian education and Christian union","Evangelical Alliance","Education","Theology, Doctrinal"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This dissertation demonstrates that the Evangelical Alliance's Doctrinal Basis of 1846 is a reliable theological and historical statement of gospel essentials, and twenty first century evangelicals can implement it to determine boundaries of cooperation in Christian education. The EA Doctrinal Basis focuses on Protestant non-negotiable's and avoids both the minimalism of the ancient creeds and the maximalism of puritan confessions. This statement can be used to define interdenominational unity between the Presbyterian, Baptist, and Methodist traditions, among others. This basis also distinguishes true evangelicalism from false gospels such as those espoused by Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Word of Faith movement."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131688717254656,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:51:28.831Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:40:44Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:06:36Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"a15b7011-e3a4-46af-ab4d-623f8759b9a5","accessControl_ssim":["a048f921-7e71-4581-adbb-b057bea1d566"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Teaching Sexual Identity in the Church: A Biblical Defense of God's Design"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:40:43Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:50:22Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ec6a602b-6d92-46e3-91b4-c336acabad14"],"hasLease_ssim":["b3ec5e61-7194-45f5-aaac-ca4d1e692626"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["David Allen"],"year_tesim":["2017"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Eric L Armstrong"],"publisher_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Sexual ethics--Religious aspects--Christianity","Gender identity","Education","Sex in the Bible"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This dissertation argues that God's sexual design for men and women, which has been generally accepted as correct through the ages, even when not adhered to in actual practice, is under severe assault by modern thinking. Nevertheless, Christian congregations and their ministers can, through courage and faith, overcome ungodly rationalizations for ungodly sexual beliefs and actions by setting out the godly tenets of sexual righteousness and supporting them with valid Biblical argument. Chapter one introduces the thesis while providing a methodology for implementation and application of Biblical truth related to sexual identity and practice. Chapter two chronicles the decline of sexual morality in western societies and identities the pattern of thought driving cultural change. Chapter three speaks to the evangelical missteps in addressing the sexual revolution and points toward a comprehensive plan of correction. Chapter four seeks to establish a systematic theology of sexual identity and practice while chapter five speaks to guidelines for preaching sensitive material within a congregational setting. In the final two chapters, an example sermon series is provided and evaluated to reveal the usefulness of such an approach in the local church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132644439752704,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:06:40.279Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:30:12Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:46:34Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"fe1c2792-8257-4228-8871-3d3adac4691d","accessControl_ssim":["76f9701d-5dde-44b3-b421-db194633a5e8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Talking the walk: how spiritual practices influence youth's ability to articulate their faith"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:30:11Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:23:43Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["e85b9c84-31c7-4abc-9943-c1c34ae086fe"],"hasLease_ssim":["ad162e2b-135a-44d8-9332-8be3b6917063"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Dwight H Judy"],"year_tesim":["2017"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jack L Mannschreck"],"keyword_tesim":["Christian education of youth","Practice (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Appreciative inquiry","Youth","Communication--Religious aspects--Christianity","Youth--Religious life","Education","Practice (Theology)","Faith development"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Talking the Walk is a participatory action research project that describes the introduction of spiritual practices to high school and junior high students with the intent of equipping them with a vocabulary that will increase their ability to articulate their faith.
