Four laypersons and the rector participated in the training and catechesis. A system which included the development of a diocesan armed forces was established and chairpersons were appointed by the bishops to assist congregations in becoming caring people for those away from home.  This project was given theological and biblical impetus through the study of I Corinthians 12.
